Design review and redesign

If a design looks questionable, reviewing it now is cheaper than discovering the problem on site. We assess it, explain what is wrong and redesign it when necessary.

Second opinionAn independent engineer reviews the design.
Fast feedbackThe initial review usually takes days, not weeks.
Redesign availableYou receive more than a list of faults.
Material optimisationDesigns often contain more steel than necessary.
What you receive

What is included

Review

We review the structural calculations, structural arrangement and connections. You receive a written summary explaining what is sound, what is uncertain and what is clearly incorrect.

Prioritised risks

You do not receive an eighty-point list without context. We distinguish structural risks, items that merely increase cost and matters of preference.

Material assessment

We check whether the structure contains unnecessary material. On larger projects, this saving often pays for the review by itself.

Redesign

If the design cannot be corrected, we redesign it. The scope may be partial — a single connection or roof-cladding system — or complete.

On-site support

If construction is already under way when the issue emerges, we can work on site. We have redesigned structures from a site-office container to keep construction moving.

A useful distinction

This is not a statutory design check

What regulations call a design check

This is a separate statutory role requiring specific professional authorisation, formal procedures and declarations. If this is what you need, tell us and we will point you to a suitably authorised professional.

What we provide

An expert technical review: an experienced designer examines the documents and gives a professional opinion. It does not carry statutory authority, but it has immediate practical value and is considerably faster.

When is this service least expensive?

At project start, before anyone orders material. On an industrial hall in Páty, a structural-design error was identified before work began; a few days of review prevented months of problems on site.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

How quickly will I receive a response?

Reviewing the design of a medium-sized industrial hall takes a few working days. If it is urgent because construction is already under way, tell us and we will prioritise it.

What if the design is sound?

Then that is what we write. You receive written confirmation that allows you to proceed with confidence, which can be just as valuable as a list of faults.

Will you identify who made the mistake?

We describe the error without making it personal. Our objective is to make the structure work, not to attack another professional. If the client needs documentation for legal proceedings, we discuss that separately.

Will you treat the designs confidentially?

Yes. Uploaded documentation is stored on European servers for a defined period and is accessible only to colleagues working on the project. We can sign an NDA at any time.

Can you also carry out the redesign?

Yes, if requested, but it is optional. The review is a standalone service and anyone can continue from our findings.

Which format should I use for an existing design?

Whatever format you have — DWG, IFC, RVT, PDF, ZIP or anything else. Send the complete package, not only a few sheets.

Scsaurszki Péter

structural engineer

He receives your enquiry and remains responsible for the project throughout. You speak directly with the engineer doing the work, not a customer service team.

What happens next?

We do not promise a specific response time, but we reply quickly by industry standards. First we clarify exactly what you need; pricing follows once the scope is clear.Read about the full process.

About uploaded drawings

We store them on European servers for a defined period, and access is limited to colleagues working on the project.
