Price is not the main argument

The key advantage is that LGS uses space efficiently. Comparable thermal and acoustic performance can be achieved with a considerably thinner wall — roughly half the thickness in some build-ups — than with traditional construction, although the exact ratio depends on the specified layers. Properly designed, it is also a durable, high-quality structure.

The point to remember

With precise build-ups, its material cost can also be lower than a masonry wall with external insulation, but durability and efficient use of space are the stronger reasons to choose it.
