How is this different from general design led by an architectural practice?

The structure is not added later

For us, the structure is part of the concept rather than a later coordination exercise. If a form requires a disproportionate amount of steel or concrete, we say so in the first week, not during construction design when changing it has become expensive.

Engineering-led rather than architect-led

We guide the project with an engineering mindset and a team selected for its specific needs. This is the main difference from a conventional architecture-led general-design process, where structural engineering can become just one of many disciplines brought in later.
