The fastest route: send everything
Why this is the most important step
Section titled “Why this is the most important step”It is the one thing in the process that is entirely up to you. The more information we get at the start, the sooner we can answer properly — and the fewer rounds it takes.
If you have existing drawings
Section titled “If you have existing drawings”Do not upload two sheets of it, upload the whole set. The missing sheets are where the things we would ask about later show up: the connections, the build-ups, the service routes.
Format: DWG, IFC, RVT, PDF, ZIP — anything. The form is built for large files; there is no need to compress or split.
If you have a plot
Section titled “If you have a plot”Everything that exists:
- land registry number and title deed,
- map extract,
- the relevant part of the local building code,
- utility data,
- the ground investigation report, if one was made.
Without these we can only guess. If something is missing that is not a problem — but say that it is missing, so we know what has to be obtained. Site data and survey.
If you only have a sketch
Section titled “If you only have a sketch”A hand-drawn sketch is a perfectly good starting point. It is often the thing we can think from fastest — far more so than a written description of an idea.
What we do with what you send
Section titled “What we do with what you send”We store it on a European server for a limited period, and only the colleagues working on that project have access. Confidentiality.
The point
Section titled “The point”The whole set, not two sheets. A sketch is worth more than a paragraph of description. This step decides how many rounds the next two weeks will take.
