We design, we do not manufacture
The arrangement
Section titled “The arrangement”We design. Manufacturing is not our discipline, and deliberately so: it means we are not tied to one machine, and we issue the drawings where the conditions are best.
If you do not have your own machine
Section titled “If you do not have your own machine”We can recommend a manufacturer who works from our drawings. Machine independence is what makes that possible: we can issue the machine program to any compatible line. Machine independence in practice.
That means two things for you:
- you can choose the manufacturer on price and capacity, not on format,
- and if you later move to another manufacturer, the model exists — only the output changes.
If you do have your own machine
Section titled “If you do have your own machine”Then the only question is which machine and what format it expects. For an unknown machine, a survey, then a template. Machine survey.
What to ask the manufacturer yourself
Section titled “What to ask the manufacturer yourself”- capacity and lead time: when can they produce, Capacity and lead time,
- profile range: can they make the section the design calls for,
- quality control: do they measure during production, In-process quality control,
- CE marking on the profile: it verifies that the section was made to the declared geometry. What the CE marking verifies.
As to responsibility
Section titled “As to responsibility”The manufacturer is responsible for making it to the shop drawings. We are responsible for producing the shop drawings in accordance with the detailed design and to suit the machine’s technology. Shop drawings.
The point
Section titled “The point”We do not manufacture, and that is an advantage: the design is not tied to one machine. You choose the manufacturer; we supply the program for it.
